Leave A Legacy

For seven years running, Leave a Legacy of Summit/Portage/Medina has rolled out an unusual opportunity for local residents with its ''Write a Will Month.'' During that time, 1,115 folks have signed up to have simple wills written for free by local attorneys who volunteer their time.
''This year, 28 attorneys have volunteered their time to write free simple wills for people with assets less than $338,333 during the month of May,'' says Marlene Dunford, Leave a Legacy project manager.
Nine locations have been designated for ''Write A Will Week'':
- Akron Art Museum, noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, employees only.
- Akron Children's Hospital, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 8, volunteers and employees only.
- Akron General Development Foundation, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 14, (employees only).
- American Red Cross of Summit County, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 13, 501 W. Market St., Akron. Contact is Mark Fairhurst, 330-535-2348.
