The
Victory is ours! It is a pleasure to report that HCF will be establishing its office in the Baldwin House on the ‘village green’ next June thanks to the generosity of The Burton D. Morgan Foundation and the far-sighted vision of Debbie and Bill Currin.
In retrospect, it is tough to believe that so many good intentions could have been defeated but this exercise served to prove that “no good deed goes unpunished”. The combined good offices of the Morgan Foundation, our city planning commission, the Hudson Library and Historical Society and the citizens group formed to keep this corner from commercial development must all be credited with ‘hanging in’.
The community will be well served for all the efforts and
your foundation is very grateful for the ultimate outcome. Thanks.
